The travelling exhibition "Play Poetics. Roberto Papetti toymaker" takes visitors on a journey through Roberto Papetti's artefacts around play.

For thirty years he has been the director of the Centro Gioco Natura Creativitá La Lucertola (La Lucertola Nature and Creativity Play Centre) in Ravenna. Papetti's quest to explore play has led him to discover toys from rural culture as well as the similarities of spinning tops, skittles, boules, bilboquets, marbles and board games in the history and cultures of the world.

His creative talent for investigating Play-based Learning and the experience of self-made play by children is influenced by numerous suggestions regarding play in poetry, philosophy and anthropology along with encounters with experts in the Italian play culture.

When his poetic gaze meets that of photographer Stefano Tedioli, the result are pictures of imaginary settings of the toys in the landscape.
