 My name is Francesca Berti, and traditional games and toys are my thing,

whether it’s marbles, spinning tops, dolls, cup-and-ball, skittles, balls, board games…

 

I carefully sift through items at local markets, street stalls and junkyards, and I’m always on the lookout for another precious discovery.

 

I create play areas, where I can tell stories or listen to them being told. It doesn’t matter whether it’s children or adults, people become natural storytellers - and everyone’s eyes light up - when they talk about the games they play.

 

I play and I tell my story – these are my basic  ingredients.  

The result is a meeting: ludic, intergenerational, intercultural.
